About MADIFA

Building Resilient Farming Communities Since 2010

The Maracha District Farmers Association (MADIFA) was established in 2010 as a grassroots farmer-led organization committed to transforming livelihoods in Maracha District, Uganda.

We work directly with smallholder farmers, women groups, and youth cooperatives to implement climate-smart agricultural practices, improve food security, and create sustainable income pathways through collective action and modern farming techniques.

With over 5,200 registered members spread across 48 communities, MADIFA has grown into one of the most trusted agricultural development organizations in the West Nile region, partnering with national and international organizations to deliver transformative programs.

Farmer Success Stories

Hear from the farmers whose lives have been transformed by MADIFA programs

"Before joining MADIFA, I was struggling to make ends meet with my small garden. After the climate-smart farming training, I now cultivate 3 acres of vegetables using drip irrigation and earned UGX 4.5 million last season alone. MADIFA changed my life."
